You are probably a good fit for my kind of workouts if you:
like to work up a good sweat
want to really exert yourself
don’t mind getting a little dirty or sandy
like having fun
are playful
like being unorthodox and different
don’t like the gym
are not interested in just transferring same old gym exercises to the outdoors
like mixing and matching
enjoy tons of variety
are okay with doing the weird and unusual
like playing games
want to participate in challenges
are fine with sore muscles on a regular basis
want to be pushed to find out what you are really capable of
ever dream of being on Amazing Race, Survivor, or American Gladiators
have hobbies and pastimes that include active fun – like bike riding, hiking, kayaking, team sports, running, surfing, bungee jumping, lion-taming, etc.
are a weekend warrior type who is ready to be a 24/7 athlete
used to be a high school or college athlete and want to get back
These are probably not the workouts for you if you . . .
are looking for the easy way to fitness
are looking for the painless way to get fit
don’t want to sweat
are looking for short-term quick-fix
like lots of routine and predictability
don’t want to touch the ground or sand
your idea of a excitement is needle point, playing couch potato for hours at a time, or a stroll through the mall
would take a pill to be fit if you could
are serious all the time
don’t ever want to be sore
are a big whiner
have had an injury that limits your mobility or would make this unsafe
have medical condition that puts you at risk
if you hate short people
Of course, some of that is purely in jest, but you get the idea. Not every workout is a fit for every person. I know my workouts are a bit different, but they work for those that really want to push themselves and make fitness and health a lifestyle. If you found yourself matching the second description, a gym or a more structured, orthodox workout maybe more your thing. If you got excited reading the first section, then you are probably a good fit with my workouts.
